Thomas V. Lyons Joins Nolan Law Group

Noted Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Thomas V. Lyons has joined the Nolan Law Group, a prominent Chicago-based law firm focused on representing victims of aviation disasters, traumatic brain injuries, medical malpractice, construction, railroad and product liability claims.

Mr. Lyons spent 19 years in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he was most recently Deputy Chief of the Civil Actions Bureau and Chief of the Special Litigation Division. Mr. Lyons previously worked in the Narcotics, Special Prosecutions and Criminal Prosecutions Bureaus, where he was a top prosecutor in the Felony Trial Division at 26th and California. His experience includes over 50 jury trials, both civil and criminal, in state and federal courts, as well as arguments before the Illinois Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He has extensive experience in handling high profile and complex matters, including class action litigation. He has tried many serious criminal cases, including Capital Murder cases, Double Murders, Gang Murders, Aggravated Arson and Rape cases.

Mr. Lyons is a graduate of Northwestern University and Loyola University School of Law. He is admitted to the Illinois Bar, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois Trial Bar and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Catholic Lawyers Guild, a charter member of the Prosecutors Bar Association and a member of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
